Abel Machado, PhD

I am an oceanographer and ecotoxicologist with a constant drive to enhance human well-being and environmental sustainability. This brought me to the position of an environmental scientist at the Global Product Stewardship team of Procter and Gamble. My academic past and current research are powered by a great curiosity to find solutions for issues regarding chemical fate and their potential effects on nature. This includes the conceptual and experimental models for testing and monitoring effects of chemical, physical, and biological novel entities in both aquatic and terrestrial systems. I strongly believe in open science and in the power of effective communication to solve the complex problems of sustainability.
